2022 NPC Mid-Michigan Body Building Bikini Competition

Dr. Leena Bahu believes in total body health and fitness. She participated in the 2022 NPC Mid-Michigan Body Building Bikini Competition this past weekend and took 1st place in two categories and 2nd place in another! She qualifies for national competition and seeks to achieve her Pro Card.

It’s an old saying, but the words still ring true: The best way to promote good health and feel better in every way is to treat your body like a temple. Although life gets hectic, it’s vital to take the time to focus on self-care and identify the steps you can take to support your physical and emotional wellness.

Evidence shows that exercising and keeping physically fit benefits your overall health and well-being in several ways. Exercising and staying fit not only helps you look and feel better, but it also helps you function at your best to support success in every endeavor.

Regular exercise helps to:

I realize how being overweight affects many aspects of your life, and I want to be there for you and help you discover the benefits and joys of training that helped me become the person I am today. I’m here to be your personal guide on every step of the journey. There is so much that led me to begin my adventure with fitness. I could almost write a book but I was anything but the picture of health. I was very overweight( I also struggled with bulimia as a teen and young adult ) and I realized it was because of eating fast food drinking pop and alcohol on a regular basis and even taking an overabundance of anti-anxiety medication. And most importantly my mental health. I decided to do something about it. I immersed myself in a new lifestyle and have never once regretted it!!!I did, however, have multiple ups and downs. It took me about a year to make a decision to thoroughly examine my workouts and make ALL necessary changes and jump both feet in.

Several years ago I also began to compete in the NPC bodybuilding competitions in Michigan and in 2021 I went to Nationals both in Arizona and Pittsburgh. I will continue this journey to my IFBB Pro card, and the next phase will be in God's hands.

For me, a healthy lifestyle is much more than just lifting weights. It’s about stretching, warming up, eating healthily, getting necessary rest enough sleep, and having a positive mindset, mental health plays such a huge role in health and fitness. I love helping others see and experience what their bodies and minds are capable of with just enough hard work. I make it a goal to help you achieve a happy and well-balanced lifestyle.
